Then this weekend course is a good place to start.
The course is an introduction to the world of mosaics and is aimed at beginners and easily practiced alike. Here the agenda is open. You do not have to show up with a finished project, but I recommend that you bring an object and preferably an idea or inspiration for what you would like to create. It gives a good start to the weekend and helps you get started quickly.
Together we will find a solution that suits your wishes, your level of experience and the time available to us.
A good reference mark is a work of approximately 30 x 30 cm or an object of similar size. Many also choose to do smaller sample projects along the way to try out different techniques and materials.
It teaches you
Over the course of the weekend you will get a thorough introduction to the craft, materials and working processes of the mosaic.
You will learn, among other things:
Along the way, you will have the opportunity to test different approaches and discover how the materials play together.
More than a finished work
The aim of the course is not simply to create a mosaic work.
The goal is for you to go home with ideas, techniques and experiences that give you the desire and courage to continue your mosaic journey on your own.
You will gain insight into materials, tools and working methods, so that you can subsequently develop your own projects at home or build on your learning through new courses.
Time for Immersion
A weekend offers space to experiment, ask questions and let creativity take shape at its own pace.
Many people see mosaic as a special combination of concentration, presence and creative joy. Here there is time for both the craft and the small discoveries that arise along the way.
The course includes a selection of basic materials so you can get off to a good start on your project.
In the workshop you will also find a large selection of glass, porcelain and special materials, which can be purchased according to your wishes. That way, you can adapt the material selection to the exact expression you want to create.
Most participants use materials for between DKK 100 and 400, depending on the size of the project and the choice of materials.
Breakfast bread, coffee, tea, cocoa and afternoon snacks are served both days.
Bring an object you would like to make a mosaic on. In the Workshop there are also various materials you can supplement with.
It is good to take practical clothes with you. Safety goggles and aprons are provided on site.
There is 3 hours of parking in the area. The workshop is located 300 metres from Vanløse station.
