Do you want to work with glass as a material and learn how to create your own unique details for mosaic?

In this intensive 6 hour course, you will learn how to melt glass and draw your own philati, the fine glass rods and organic shapes which can add lightness, movement and personal expression to mosaic.

The course is for those who are curious about glass and want to expand your creative possibilities in working with mosaic. You do not need to have experience in glasswork to participate.

The small team of only 4 participants allows plenty of time for immersion, individual guidance and presence in the process. The course has been created as an exclusive specialist course with space for experimentation, material understanding and craftsmanship.

CONTENT
On the course you will learn, among other things:

• introduction to Italian narrow glass as a material
• safety and basic techniques when heating glass
• to melt and shape glass into decorative elements
• to draw your own filati of different colors and thicknesses
• how filati and molten glass can be integrated into mosaic work

Along the way, you create your own small mosaic work, where your homemade filati becomes a supporting element of the expression. In this way, you go home with both new techniques, your own materials and a finished work.

You will have the opportunity to experiment with shapes, colors and expressions and create your own unique glass details for future mosaic projects.
